You will need to upload a copy of an historical document which shows a direct link to Ireland. There are many types of documents which can be accepted. You can check any accessible family documents or look online. Old family records may include birth, baptism, marriage or death certificates held by yourself or other family members. What do I do if can’t find supporting documents which relate to the recipient's Irish Ancestor? In cases where you are unable to locate supporting documents relating to the recipient’s Irish Ancestor, contact our Customer Service Team who can carry out a document search for you. Alternatively, you can submit a sworn affidavit which must be signed by a notary public, or any person who is, by the law of the country in which the declaration is made, a commissioner for oaths or other person authorised to take affidavits and administer oaths.
